These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of VividRead (the “Service”), including our web app and browser extension. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you will not:

  • Attempt to access or disrupt our systems, APIs, or other users’ accounts.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Upload or submit content you do not have the rights to submit.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code or models used by the Service (except where permitted by law).

AI outputs

The Service may generate explanations, translations, examples, and other content using AI. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for how you use outputs, and you should independently verify important information.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed via Stripe. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the Subscription page (billing portal).

Intellectual property

VividRead and its associated logos, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks except as necessary to use the Service.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we must do so to comply with law or protect the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting an update on this page).
